Service For Gene Doleschal Sunday, November 1st, 2009 2:30pm
Update 11/2/2009: A wonderful memorial service was held on a gorgeous Fall afternoon for Harriman Hikers Hike Leader Emeritus, Gene Doleschal on Sunday, November 1st, 2009 at St. John’s Church in the Wilderness, in Harriman State Park, Stony Point, NY. In attendance were Gene’s family, who planned the event, as well as many of Gene’s friends, including a number of Harriman Hikers.
Additional Event: 12/13/2008 – Christmas Hike (CANCELLED) + Holiday Party (ON AS PLANNED)
Please Note: Due to predicted cold, wet and possibly frozen ground conditions at Bear Mountain State Park for Saturday, which the Hike Leader, Bob Gawel, considers unsuitable, he has cancelled the hike. Please let any friends you may have invited or told about the event know the hike is cancelled.
The scheduled Holiday Party at Richie’s Little Place is ON just as planned, 6pm till 10pm. PREPAID RESERVATIONS ONLY
